Volunteer – Ambassadors

Ambassadors

Volunteer Ambassador Program

The Volunteer Ambassador Program is an opportunity for students and community members to gain leadership and nonprofit administrative experience at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Volunteer Ambassadors primarily support Volunteer Coordinators during the weekly Saturday morning events when hundreds of volunteers help inspect, sort, and pack donated food for distribution throughout Los Angeles County.

We strive for Volunteer Ambassadors to build and maintain relationships with our volunteer groups to increase retention and awareness of our mission: to mobilize resources to fight hunger in our community. With the assistance of dedicated volunteers like you, we are able to provide food for thousands of individuals every month. If you are a motivated individual with a passion for helping those less fortunate, join us at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank!

Ambassador FAQs

Please fill out the request form below.

Regular volunteers are not expected to have the same responsibilities/attendance expectations as those in the Volunteer Ambassador program. Regular volunteers assist with the production assignment for their shift (such as produce sorting or kit assembling). Meanwhile, Volunteer Ambassadors assist our Volunteer Department with preparing/running regular volunteer shifts, in addition to assisting with the production assignment for the day.

If you are interested in being a regular volunteer instead of a Volunteer Ambassador, please visit the “Registration for Individual Volunteers” section of our volunteer page.
