What are Employee Matching Gifts, and Does Your Company Match?

Do you know if your company matches donations? Many companies match their employees’ donations as a great way to show them they also care about the causes they believe in while making double the impact in the community.

Additionally, by having your donation to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank matched by your company, you’re helping feed the more than 2 million individuals who may not know where their next meal is coming from. As a nonprofit organization, the Food Bank relies on financial gifts in order to fulfill its mission that no one goes hungry in LA County.

Find Out if Your Company Matches Donations

To find out if your employer matches donations, simply visit our Company Matching page, enter your company name, and if they match donations, their listing will come up. You will have the opportunity to view the Matching Gift Guidelines set by your employer, and you can download the matching gift form or complete it online if your company permits.

Alternative Option

If you are not sure if your company will match your donation, finding out is simple. 

  1. On LAFoodBank.org, click on the ‘Donate Now’ button in the upper right-hand corner
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the donation form where it reads, ‘Company Match’
  3. Enter your company name in the search box and click, ‘Search’
  4. If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and mail it to the Food Bank Headquarters completed and signed to 1734 East 41st Street, Los Angeles, California 90058.

Your gift may be doubled or tripled by your employer. Your support for the Food Bank is critical. Make a difference for the people in LA County who struggle with food insecurity. Donate today.
