Ways to Get Involved with the Food Bank During the Summer

Hunger doesn’t take a vacation. Find out how you can get involved with the Food Bank during the summer.

Getting involved with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is always a good idea. By supporting the Food Bank, you are helping feed our neighbors throughout LA County struggling with food insecurity.

If you’re looking for ways to make a positive impact in your community this summer, look no further than the Food Bank.

Volunteer

Tens of thousands of individuals choose to volunteer at the Food Bank throughout the year, and summer will be no different. With just three hours of the day, volunteers help the Food Bank sort, glean, pack, and distribute food for those struggling with food insecurity.

Meet the Match

Thanks to the generosity of long-time Food Bank supporter Robbin Steif, donations made up to $100,000 will be matched over the summer*. It’s because of these types of campaigns and donations that the Food Bank can alleviate food and nutrition insecurity in Los Angeles County. Learn more about having your gift matched this summer >

Find Out if Your Company Matches Your Donation

Did you know that many companies choose to match their employee donations? Many companies match their employees’ donations as a great way to show them they also care about the causes they believe in while making double the impact in the community. Reach out to your Human Resources department to find out more.

It’s thanks to volunteers and donors that the Food Bank is able to be a highly efficient organization. Consider donating to the Food Bank, or volunteering your time to help those in need.

*Over the summer or until the match is met.
