The LA Rams’ Tutu Atwell Helps Distribute Thanksgiving Turkeys at LA Regional Food Bank Distribution

In a powerful collaboration to combat the growing issue of food insecurity, the Los Angeles Rams, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Los Angeles Care Health Plan joined forces for a remarkable food distribution event in Long Beach. With millions of Americans facing the challenge of putting food on their tables, this initiative aimed to make a meaningful impact on the Southern California community.

Held at the LA Care/Blue Shield Promise Community Resource Center in Long Beach, the event provided essential support to almost 700 families by offering shelf-stable foods, fresh produce, and turkeys. The presence of LA Rams wide receiver and Super Bowl LVI Champion Tutu Atwell, along with the enthusiastic mascot, Rampage, and Rams Cheerleaders, added a touch of excitement and community spirit to the event.

The LA Rams have been longtime partners of the LA Regional Food Bank, hosting numerous food distributions, providing many volunteer hours and partnering with the Food Bank to raise funds to support the work of the Food Bank. For example, the annual Taste of the Rams event raises hundreds of thousands of dollars each year. Learn more about Taste of the Rams >

This event is part of an ongoing partnership between L.A. Care and the Rams, reflecting their commitment to community well-being. Previous collaborations include vaccine events and Rams Play 60 field activities, dedicated to encouraging children to engage in 60 minutes of daily physical activity to combat rising childhood obesity rates.

The success of this event wouldn’t have been possible without the invaluable collaboration and support from our partners. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Los Angeles Rams and  LA Care for their dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of those facing food insecurity.

As we navigate the challenges of our time, these collaborative efforts exemplify the strength of community bonds and the ability to create meaningful change. Together, we can build a future where no one goes to bed hungry and every family can enjoy the warmth of a Thanksgiving meal.
