Hollywood Stars and Humanitarians Unite with the LA Regional Food Bank to Raise Enough Funds to Provide Two Million Meals

Hollywood Stars and Humanitarians Unite with the LA Regional Food Bank to Raise Enough Funds to Provide Two Million Meals

The third Annual “A Million Reasons” Fundraising Event was in full swing at a private home in the Hollywood Hills that united nearly 200 guests who came together to help support the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and its work to alleviate hunger throughout LA County. Proceeds of the special event will help provide 2,000,000 meals for food-insecure families and individuals across the County.

Guests enjoyed an exclusive performance by five-time GRAMMY® Award nominee Robin Thicke – the distinguished entertainer performed some of his hits, including “Lost Without U” and “Blurred Lines.”

Additionally, attendees were presented with culinary expertise thanks to the help of esteemed chefs and their teams who prepared dishes for the fundraising event. Featured chefs included Nyesha Arrington (Next Level Chef and Native by Nyesha), Ben Ford (Ford’s Filling Station and author of Taming the Feast), Neal Fraser (Redbird and Vibiana), Suzanne Goin (A.O.C., Caldo Verde and Larder Baking Company) and Valerie Gordon (Valerie Confections and author of Sweet).

Magerum wines, JUSTIN Wines, William Grant & Sons, S. Pelligrino, and Acqua Panna provided beverages for the event.

The fundraising event was hosted by Food Bank board member and Platinum donors Keith Addis and his wife Keri Selig at their home in the Hollywood Hills and was made possible by generous sponsors, including United Airlines as Leadership Donors; Colossal, CoreGiving as Platinum Donors; UTA, Kathleen M. McDowell, Jami and Owen Witte, Jerri and Marshal Safron and Wells Fargo as Legacy Donors; Gail and George Baril, Farmers and Merchants Bank, Nicole and Michael Montgomery, The Flood Family, Jody A. Rosenthal, and the Aldo Tassi Memorial Foundation as Friendship Donors; HexClad, Nicole Avant and Ted Sarandos, Charlie Day, Michael Fink, Judy Kann and Cary Gordon, Amanda Massucci and Mike Wokosin, Ashley and David Kramer, and David and Jennifer Siemer as Patron Donors.

“The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is deeply touched and grateful to our generous donors, chefs, and Robin Thicke for making the third annual “A Million Reasons” event another memorable evening,” said Food Bank President and CEO Michael Flood. “The coming together of the community to support our neighbors who need our help is profound and necessary in the work that the Food Bank does, and we are so thankful for everyone’s help.”
