Entertainment Industry Comes Together for 5th Annual Studio Day

Entertainment Industry Comes Together for 5th Annual Studio Day

For the fifth year, the major studios of Los Angeles came together to fight hunger. Disney, Fox, Paramount, NBC Universal, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros. and The Actors Fund brought over 200 volunteers to our Annual Studio Day to pack food for those in need in our community.

“We truly appreciate the entertainment community for all they do to help the Food Bank and Los Angeles County. Each year, their employees come to help us pack and sort food, showing that they are dedicated to making Los Angeles better for those who live here ,” said Food Bank President and CEO, Michael Flood.

Lani Monos, Vice President, Global Corporate Social Responsibility at Sony Pictures, is a key organizer of the volunteer day each year. “We believe in giving back to our local community and encourage our employees to be involved in helping our community. Volunteering each year at the Food Bank with the other studios underscores how the entertainment community is dedicated to making Los Angeles a better place.”

This year, the volunteers packed 4,480 senior kits for our Senior Nutrition program. The Food Bank has one of the largest senior food assistance distribution program in the country, feeding more than 28,000 seniors each month. Providing food to seniors in our community helps them live longer, happier and healthier lives.
