Butterfly Equity is a Los Angeles-based private equity firm that specializes in the food sector, and its Foundation’s mission is to provide greater access to nutritious and affordable food for underserved populations. Supporters like the Butterfly Equity Foundation enable the Food Bank to continue providing meals to our hungry neighbors in need, especially during the Coronavirus crisis.
“It’s tough to imagine the pain and suffering being experienced across the country and the globe at this unbelievable moment in time. We are proud to support LA Regional Food Bank and all the good that they do by feeding those most in need. We all have an obligation to help support the organizations in our local communities that are providing critical help and assistance during these unfortunate times,” said Dustin Beck and Adam Waglay from Butterfly Equity.
Fulfilling the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank’s mission during this crisis is made possible by our Hunger Heroes, such as the Butterfly Equity Foundation. As the Coronavirus crisis unfolded, the Foundation took action in the LA County community by starting a fundraiser to benefit the Food Bank. In less than one week, the Foundation raised more than $100,000, which will provide more than 400,000 meals to our hungry neighbors in need during these challenging times.
Since the pandemic was announced, the Food Bank has received an influx of phone calls from individuals, seniors and families requesting food. Thanks to the generous contributions from organizations like the Butterfly Equity Foundation, the Food Bank can continue serving the LA County community without disruption.
Our hungry neighbors need our support now more than ever. Join our fight against hunger during these trying times, become a hunger hero by starting your own fundraiser. Together, #WeFeedLA.
